Our Pedesting zones are concentrated in Calgary’s downtown core, and we are currently expanding across Canada.
Pedesting’s Mission for an Accessible Canada
Accessibility makes it possible for all people to enjoy spaces, information, and experiences as equals. Pedesting will redefine the way people interact with cities by providing the information everyone needs to navigate with confidence.
Pedesting engages building owners to map their spaces by digitizing their floorplans and identifying accessible routes and points of interest (eg. accessible washrooms) for pedestrians who use the platform. Users can also contribute details of their real-life pedestrian experiences.
Everyone benefits. As businesses improve access for their customers, visitors will have a better pedestrian experience and the confidence to explore more of their city, outside and inside.
